BRICKELL COMEDY FESTIVAL DEBUTS NOV. 18
Comedy for a Cause takes center stage at the Flamingo Theater
MIAMI – The Brickell Comedy Festival, presented by Comic Cure, promises a night full of laughs while benefitting the local community with a portion of the proceeds donated to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami. With more than 30 comedians showcasing their best sets, the interactive festival format allows guests to vote determining which top two comedians each take a $500 prize.
On Wednesday, Nov. 18 the Brickell Comedy Festival takes over the Flamingo Theater (in the Four Ambassadors Hotel) bringing together hearty laughs with big hearts. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a cocktail hour allowing guests to enjoy two-for-one drinks and signature cocktails from the bar, accompanied by delicious small plates from the kitchen. The laughs begin when the first “round” of comedians take the stage for the 7 p.m. show, followed by another “round” of comedians at 9 p.m.
“Local comedy hasn’t been showcased like this in Miami for quite some time,” said Benjamin Leis, Comic Cure Managing Director. “We’re excited to bring more than thirty Florida comedians to the Flamingo stage to benefit an organization that is making a real impact here.”
“As a native Miami comic who is passionate about this dynamic, diverse and incredibly passionate city, I am honored to be performing in support of a charity that directly has help so many in our community,” said Comedian Freddy Stebbins.
Attendees must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 on BrickellComedyFestival.com or at the door for $30. A portion of the proceeds from every ticket sale benefits Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami. Both valet parking and street parking are available. Garage parking is also available at nearby Mary Brickell Village. No refunds are offered.
